How to Stake TAO to the Rizzo Validator Using the Bittensor Chrome Extension

Staking TAO tokens with the Bittensor Chrome Extension is straightforward and efficient. Follow these steps to install the extension, select the validator, choose your staking amount, and confirm the transaction. You can easily monitor your staked tokens and rewards directly in your browser.

Before You Start:

• Bittensor Wallet: Make sure you have a Bittensor wallet set up with TAO tokens in it.
• Bittensor Chrome Extension: Install the official Bittensor Chrome Extension in your browser.

Step 1: Install the Bittensor Chrome Extension

1. Download the Extension:
   Go to the official Bittensor website or the Chrome Web Store, search for "Bittensor," and locate the Bittensor Chrome Extension.

2. Install and Add to Chrome:
   Click on Add to Chrome to install the extension. Once installed, the Bittensor extension icon will appear in your browser toolbar.

Step 2: Set Up or Import Your Wallet

(If you already have a Bittensor wallet, you can import it using your mnemonic phrase or private key.)

1. Open the Extension:
   Click on the Bittensor extension icon in the top-right corner of your Chrome browser.
2. Create a New Wallet or Import Existing One:
   If you’re new to Bittensor, select the “Accounts” option in the main menu, and click the “+” option to create a new wallet. Follow the prompts to securely create your 48-character wallet ID and auto-generated 12-word mnemonic phrase, and then set a password.

         IMPORTANT: Do NOT misplace this information – store it safely and securely!

If you already have a Bittensor wallet, choose the import wallet option and enter your mnemonic phrase or private key. Your password may also be required.

3. Fund Your Wallet:
   If you don’t have TAO tokens in your wallet yet, you'll need to acquire them on an exchange and transfer them to your Bittensor wallet address.

Step 3: Select the Rizzo Validator

1. View the Validators List to Find Rizzo:
   Open the Bittensor extension, click on the Staking tab, and locate the list of "Delegators" available for staking.

2. Confirm Rizzo’s Address:
   Ensure the validator’s hotkey matches Rizzo’s official address:

Step 4: Stake Your TAO Tokens

1. Enter Staking Amount:
   After selecting the Rizzo validator, enter the amount of TAO tokens you want to stake. (Staking all tokens maximizes potential rewards.) Your wallet's available balance will be displayed in the extension.
2. Confirm Staking Transaction:
   Double-check the validator address and the amount of TAO you're staking. Confirm that everything is correct.
3. Complete Staking:
   Click Stake or Confirm to finalize the transaction. The extension will process the request and send your TAO tokens to the validator.

Step 5: Monitor Your Staked TAO

1. Check Staking Status:
   In the Staking Dashboard within the extension, you can view your active stakes, including the amount of TAO staked, the chosen validator, and accumulated rewards.
2. Track Rewards:
   Rewards are distributed periodically. You can view your staking rewards in the extension and choose to reinvest or withdraw them anytime.

Additional Tips:

• Transaction Fees: Staking and unstaking may incur small transaction fees, though they are typically low.
• Reward Compounding: To maximize returns, consider staking additional rewards periodically.

Important! Ensure the address (hotkey) you stake to matches exactly the Rizzo Validator's confirmed address:
